Frequently asked questions
What is an NFC epoxy tag used for?
An NFC epoxy tag is a small round tag that opens a link, profile or record when tapped with a smartphone. The IDNE30 is used for social sharing, brand promotion and identity authentication, and is made in India by Identium in a 30 mm diameter PVC and epoxy resin body.
Which NFC chips are available in the IDNE30 epoxy tag?
The IDNE30 NFC epoxy tag is available with NTAG 213, 215 or 216 chips, giving 144, 504 or 888 bytes of memory respectively, all to ISO 14443A at 13.56 MHz. The chip is chosen according to how much data, such as a link or contact record, you need to store.
Will the NFC epoxy tag work with any smartphone?
The IDNE30 is a passive NFC tag working at 13.56 MHz under ISO 14443A, so it can be read by NFC-enabled smartphones and needs no battery of its own. Read distance is short by design, so the phone is tapped directly onto the tag.
Can NFC epoxy tags be printed and encoded with our data?
Yes, the IDNE30 supports CMYK offset printing, UID printing and custom encoding, so each NFC tag can carry your artwork and its own link or record. India RFID Store is an Indian manufacturer offering custom encoding, samples, bulk and OEM pricing and pan-India shipping.
