Overview
How the ID-DFW-808 dual frequency wristband works
Many sites run two RFID systems: short-range HF at lockers, room doors and payment counters, and long-range UHF at gates and attendance points. The ID-DFW-808 puts both chips in one silicone band, so each guest or employee carries one credential instead of a card plus a wristband.
HF side, 13.56 MHz
MIFARE Classic, MIFARE DESFire or NTAG on ISO 14443A. A close tap at POS terminals, locker locks and room doors.
UHF side, 860–960 MHz
EPC Gen2 / ISO 18000-6C. Read at a distance by gate and attendance readers, so people are logged as they walk through.
Typical deployments
- Resorts and cruise ships: room key, cashless wallet and activity attendance
- Theme and water parks: gate entry, lockers and spending
- Concerts and festivals: VIP zones plus merchandise payment
- Corporate campuses and events: attendance capture plus canteen payment
- Hospitals: patient ID plus department access
Setting it up
The two chips carry separate identifiers, so link the HF UID and the UHF EPC to the same guest or employee record before issue. You need an HF reader at tap points and a UHF reader at gates. Bands are reusable from one event or season to the next. For the frequency trade-offs, read UHF vs HF RFID, or compare all silicone RFID wristbands.
Typical applications
- Resort room key and wallet
- Theme park entry and lockers
- Corporate canteen payment
- Event attendance capture
- Festival VIP access
- Hospital patient ID
