Overview
What the ID-4320 fragile NFC tamper label does
This label is for seals that should only ever be used once. The ID-4320-FM13HS01 carries an FM13HS01-P NFC chip on a fragile, tamper-evident build. Stuck across a carton flap, lid or closure, it gives each item a chip identity that can be checked with an NFC reader, and an attempt to lift it leaves the label visibly damaged.
Why a fragile NFC label instead of a normal sticker
A standard NFC sticker can be peeled off a genuine pack and moved to a fake one. Fragile labels use a face stock that tears during removal, and in many designs the antenna breaks with it, so a seal moved to another pack shows the damage and may no longer read.
Reading and placement
- The chip follows ISO/IEC 15693 (NFC Type 5). Check that your reader supports ISO 15693, not only ISO 14443A cards; NFC smartphones and ISO 15693 HF RFID readers can read it.
- Place it across the opening, so the pack cannot be opened without breaking the label.
- Apply to a clean, dry surface and press it down fully. Keep it off bare metal, which detunes HF antennas.
More formats are in NFC Tags & Labels. For jewellery stock counted with UHF readers, compare the 66 × 12 mm UHF tamper-evident jewellery label.
Typical applications
- Product authentication
- Carton and pack seals
- Warranty seals
- Cosmetics and pharma packs
- Closure seal verification
