About the Silk Printable UHF Tag

The Silk6050 is a silk printable UHF laundry tag with a white matte silk face that accepts thermal transfer or direct thermal printing, so barcodes, QR codes, logos and variable data sit on the same label that carries the EPC. It is an EPC Gen 2 label built for garment tagging, retail inventory, asset tracking and pharmaceutical packaging, where an item has to be readable both by eye and by an RFID reader. Print the human-visible data and encode the chip in one pass on a standard RFID label printer; the tags are supplied on rolls for automatic dispensing, so a high-volume tagging bench is never the bottleneck.

Mounting, encoding and reading notes

Run the roll on any standard 4-inch ribbon-width RFID printer - Zebra ZT400 and ZD620, the Identium iX4R, Honeywell PX940 or SATO CL4NX - and encode the EPC in the same print job so the printed number and the chip always agree. Apply to a clean, dry surface and press the full label down; use the removable adhesive variant on reusable crates and totes. Do not stick the label straight onto metal or a liquid-filled container - mount it on a card tail or a spacer instead.
