Frequently asked questions
What is an RFID patrol tag used for?
An RFID patrol tag is a checkpoint tag fixed where a security guard must visit, so each visit is recorded when the guard touches a patrol reader or phone to it. The Identium LPT patrol tag is used in guard patrolling systems across Indian factories, campuses, hotels and residential complexes.
Which frequencies are available for this guard patrol tag?
The Identium RFID patrol tag can be supplied with 125 kHz LF, 13.56 MHz HF or NFC chips, so it can be matched to the patrol reader you already use. Confirm the chip type with your patrol system supplier before ordering, because LF and HF readers are not interchangeable.
Can the patrol tag be read with an NFC mobile phone?
Yes, when ordered with an NFC or 13.56 MHz chip, the patrol tag can be read by tapping an NFC-enabled smartphone against it, which removes the need for a separate patrol wand. A 125 kHz version is available for legacy patrol readers already installed at Indian sites.
What sizes and printing options are available for patrol tags?
The RFID patrol tag is available in 25, 30, 35, 40 and 50 mm sizes, in black or white ABS, with laser printing or silk screen printing of checkpoint numbers and logos on request. India RFID Store supplies patrol tags in bulk across India; pricing depends on size, chip and quantity.
