Can this UHF ABS asset tag be used on metal as well as plastic?
Yes, but the correct version must be chosen: the tag is supplied as IDTS-UMT88 for on-metal use and IDTS-UPT88 for off-metal use. Ordinary tags lose range on metal, so specifying the on-metal variant matters when tagging steel bins, racks or machinery in Indian plants and warehouses.
What is a UHF mid-range asset tag used for?
A UHF mid-range ABS asset tag is a rugged reusable tag for tracking fixed and movable assets at a few metres range. Built in industrial grade PC and ABS material, the Identium tag is used in India for asset management, waste management, gate mounting, pallet identification and plastic bin tagging.
Which chip does the UHF ABS asset tag use?
The UHF mid-range ABS asset tag uses a high sensitivity Impinj Monza R6-P chip with EPC memory up to 128 bits, giving good performance and efficient reading of many tags at once. The chip can be customised on request if your software or system needs a different EPC Gen 2 chip.
Can I get laser marking and bulk pricing on these asset tags?
Yes. Optional laser marking is available for asset numbers, barcodes and logos on the tag body.
