About the UHF RFID Silicone Wristband 860-960MHz – Long Range Waterproof Adjustable

Long-range identification with nothing to charge is the whole point of the ID-UHF-WB860 UHF RFID silicone wristband. It runs at 860-960 MHz on ISO18000-6C / EPC Gen2 and is read passively at typically 1-5 metres depending on the reader, which is enough for a turnstile, a finish arch or a plant gate to log people as they walk through rather than stopping them to tap. The IP68 silicone body is fully sealed and resists sweat, UV and repeated daily use, and the adjustable strap gives one size that fits adult wrists. Passive and battery-free means no maintenance between events and nothing to replace.

Best-fit applications

• Marathon and sports event timing where participants cross a wide read zone
• Access control and attendance at gates, turnstiles and site entries
• Personnel tracking and muster points in factories and warehouses
• Hospital patient management on wards fitted with UHF ceiling or door readers
• Concerts and multi-day outdoor programmes with tiered entry zones
• Visitor and contractor management on construction and plant sites

Mounting, encoding and reading notes

Bulk-encode the bands on a desktop reader before issue and map every EPC to a ticket, employee number or patient record in your own database. Because the quoted 1-5 metre range depends heavily on the reader and antenna in front of it, size each read zone around the narrowest point people actually pass through, such as a doorway or turnstile, rather than an open forecourt. Adjust the strap so the band sits firmly and cannot spin round the arm during a run or a shift. At the issue desk, lay bands out singly for verification; a stacked bundle of silicone bands will not read cleanly one by one.
